IM NOT MAD IM JUST DISAPPOINTED.. Let me preface this review by saying 30 minutes before entering this establishment me and the DirtyBoys were finishing up our shift at mcdonalds and Noone knows this but the freezer is the best place to fishbowl to really get you in the mood for some good food. Sadly for Adam and I, us DirtyBoys partook in habitual activities a little too hard and when we came in to enjoy our meals we sad down and the panic hit us both immediately and when as what we wanted to order Adam sat there frozen in fear from the anxiety and i could barely muster almost anything until finally i just shouted LEMON! She said; uh just a lemon are you sure..? Paralyzed by our crippling anxiety we just shook our head and moments later as our second stomach's had been seeking a gluttonous entail, tummy runblin, knees stumblin, she comes out with our meal. With glistening sunny eyes and tummies ready our happy face and hungry bellies our eyes after seeing the top of the plate quickly faded all forms of happiness as we realize it was just... A Lemon. Sad and hungry we stumbled out of there after paying 7$ for the Lemon and being to afraid to speak up and order any food as we may look silly we left. 10/10 experience i give it a DirtyBoys Seal Of Approval!!

Cuba Libre has a really good happy hour deal. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the food options are great! I loved the yuca fries the best! But all of the food was good. We sat at the bar, and it wasn't crowded. The service was quick, and the bartender was friendly.

We weren't in Cuba nor Miami but it sure felt like it. The atmosphere & menu were right out of Cuba in DC. There is a dinner & brunch crowd during the day but by ten in becomes a Latin Bar with salsa.

*Updated Review* It had been several years since I visited this place. Definitely pre pandemic times! Came here recently for a farewell happy hour for a co-worker and we had a good time. They have great happy hour specials - begins at 4 pm. I really enjoyed the red sangria! I recommend it. Service was great. We were able to push some tables together and paying separately wasn't an issue. I will be back for more sangria : )

Decided to step out and try something different. I was glad I did! The atmosphere was a neat building and plenty of room. The menu was fairly simple which was nice to not be overwhelmed. I had the passion fruit margarita to start. It was tart and not too sweet. (Just as advertised. The Ropa Vieja was recommended by the bartender. I went with it and was not disappointed. I would definitely do it again!

A lot of food at a decent price. Our server, Susan, was friendly and nice. I got the pan de lechon sandwich and It was great. The crunch of the bread to the moistness of the pork and the capers is excellent. I paid an upcharge to have the plantain chips swapped out for the yucca fries. They were just ok. My neighbor back in San Diego makes them way better!!! The dipping sauce it was served with was good and I loved it. The ropa vieja hash was pretty good as well although it would have been better served with some bread or maybe rice. It had good flavor and wasn't too dry.

Service was slow. We came during Sat brunch hours and the place was about 1/3 full. With all the places to visit around DC, we wanted a relative quick place for lunch. This place wasn't it. The food however was superb. I really loved my ropa vieja hash. It has plantains instead of potatoes (which one would assume when it's a hash). It doesn't have the olives which was perfect. What was missing for me was either rice, beans or both. The pan con lechon was also good. It's a large sandwich which is good for sharing.
